Maple cream is also known as Maple Butter or Maple Spread. Although the name may imply it, there is no dairy in Maple Cream. It is made by boiling Maple Syrup, rapidly cooling it then stirring until the desired texture is reached. The consistency is similar to soft peanut butter. It can be used as a topping on toast, bagels, muffins, fruit and can be used as a substitute to jams and jellies.
